Nanomaterials developer and producer First Graphene has announced a five-year distribution agreement with privately-owned industrial products distributor Bisley & Company.
According to an ASX announcement from First Graphene on Thursday, the non-exclusive distribution deal will see the company’s PureGRAPH sold throughout Australia and New Zealand through Bisley, and represented “a significant milestone” in its commercialisation strategy.
PureGRAPH is a range of graphene nanoplatelet additives available in different sizes.
“This is another fantastic opportunity to increase market awareness of First Graphene’s leading PureGRAPH product in two countries that are well known for embracing innovative solutions,” said CEO Mike Bell.
Bell’s company’s products are in use at an R&D level in a wide spread of industries, with a current focus on the cement and concrete industry.
There are, however, “hundreds of other clients in different applications” he told the @AuManufacturing Conversations podcast earlier this year.
“We’re going through the process of trying to commercialise it and find those what I call killer applications..
“In the last two to three years I think we’re starting to see those applications.”
The deal with Bisley allows sale to customers in ANZ for research, development, and manufacturing, plus “the option to sell into other countries, following approval from First Graphene, which could open the door to alternative global markets and reach.”
First Graphene featured on this title’s Australia’s 50 Most Innovative Manufacturers list, published last month.
