Winners of the second round of the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Fund have been announced today. The 15 SA and Victorian companies share in $19 million worth of assistance, aimed at helping them transition to higher-value products. \u201cThese grants will help companies transition from traditional, heavy processes to advanced manufacturing of higher value products, creating new opportunities and new jobs,\u201d said federal industry minister Karen Andrews in a statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n \u201c[The funding] is expected to result in an additional investment of $45 million from the successful businesses.”<\/p>
\nSouth Australian recipients include beverage business Bickfords and imaging technology company Micro-X (pictured). BNNT of Waurn Ponds is among the Victorian companies, and it aims to be the world’s first industrial-scale producer of boron nitride nanotubes.\u00a0The full list of recipients can be seen here<\/a><\/p>\n
