{"id":44576,"date":"2021-11-08T11:21:58","date_gmt":"2021-11-08T00:51:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.aumanufacturing.com.au\/?p=44576"},"modified":"2021-11-08T11:50:16","modified_gmt":"2021-11-08T01:20:16","slug":"3-million-port-of-newcastle-green-hydrogen-feasibility-study-announced","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.aumanufacturing.com.au\/3-million-port-of-newcastle-green-hydrogen-feasibility-study-announced","title":{"rendered":"$3 million Port of Newcastle green hydrogen feasibility study announced"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Australian Renewable Energy Agency has awarded $1.5 million in support for a feasibility study into a green hydrogen hub at Newcastle, the east coast\u2019s biggest port.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The study would be led by Port of Newcastle and Macquarie\u2019s <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Green Investment Group, with involvement by project partners Idemitsu, Keolis Downer, Lake Macquarie, Snowy Hydro, Jemena, Macquarie Agriculture and University of Newcastle. The total value was given as $3 million.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">ARENA said the deep water port used under half of its channel capacity and currently saw roughly 4,400 ship movements and over 160 million tonnes of cargo moved per year.
