First organic A2 milk products headed for market

Wattle Health Australia (ASX: WHA) is set to become the first in Australia to offer organic A2 nutritional dairy products following signing of an agreement securing a milk supply.

The company announced that together with partner Corio Bay Dairy Group it had signed a supply agreement with Organic Dairy Farmers of Australia (ODFA)

ODFA is a co-operative of organic farmers that also manufacture cheese and butter at its own factory in North Geelong.

Now it will supply A2 milk to Wattle in commercial quantities to be processed into nutritional dairy powder at CDDG’s new factory now under construction also in Geelong.

Wattle Health already markets a range of A1 milk powders and baby foods.

A2 milk has gained popularity in recent years with claims of better health effects, and Wattle Health will gain an important advantage should it be first to market with organic A2 products.

Recently Wattle Health signed a legally binding agreement with International Supplies and Distribution Company to supply its infant formula range into China.
