Manufacturing News

Campbelltown City Council,  Southern Strength Agile Manufacturing and the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre have linked up to form a new manufacturer networking group, with this aiming to increase local companies’ collaboration, skill sharing and sales.

The Southern Strength Agile Manufacturing Network – Campbelltown Chapter will be launched at a breakfast event at the Western Suburbs League Club at 7 am on October 13.

Mayor George Brticevic said manufacturing boasted impressive diversity in his local government area, and was its  second-largest employer.

“This new network will bring manufacturers together with government to produce an open dialogue and share ideas to further develop the advanced manufacturing capabilities of our local industry,” Brticevic said in a statement on Monday.

“It is important that all our local stakeholders engage with each other so that the region can benefit collectively from the new Western Sydney Airport and the surrounding business opportunities that will come with that.”

The launch event will feature speakers from the council, NSW Department of Industry, the AMGC, AusIndustry and Southern Strength.
