Holmwood Highgate to manufacture fuel and water storage modules

Queensland bulk liquid storage manufacturer Holmwood Highgate has signed a $30 million contract with Rheinmetall MAN Military Vehicles to deliver fuel and water modules. The modules will be fitted to defence’s fleet of logistics trucks. The Loganholme company has previously secured more than $108 million worth of work supporting Phase 3B of Defence’s Land 121 Program.

Cannabis drug listed on PBS for first time

A cannabis-based drug has been listed on Australia’s Pharmaceutical Benefits Sceme for the first time to treat a rare form of epliepsy. The listing of Epidyloex reduces the cost of the drug to patients, and opens the way for the listing of other cannabis treatments. There are more than 20 listed public companies in Australia developing and making cannabis-derived medicines.

Australian Natural Therapeutics to export to NZ

Byron Bay’s Australian Natural Therapeutics Group is to export its products to New Zealand through a deal with medicinal cannabis distributor, NUBU Pharmaceuticals. The company, which already exports to Europe, is building a medicinal cannabis growing facility near Toowoomba in Queensland with Canada’s Asterion Cannabis. ANTG plans to send cultivated and dried medicinal cannabis flower and oils to New Zealand.

HIFraser to provide fire suppression for Hanhwa armoured vehicle

Sydney’s HIFraser has been cntracted to supply Hanwha Defence Australia with fire safety systems for its vehicle fleets.The company will supply automated fire suppression systems for armoured vehicle crew safety. The company, which has supplied fire suppression systems for the Collins class submarines, will now work on systems for Hanhwa’s AS9 self-propelled howitzer.
