Steve Shu appointed ANFF-NSW’s USyd Hub Director

This week the Australian National Fabrication Facility announced Associate Professor Steve Shu as the new ANFF-NSW USyd Hub Director as well as Academic Director of the University of Sydney’s Research and Prototype Foundry.

In a statement on Monday, Shu was described as holding a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Melbourne and contributing two decades of impactful work across both academia and industry.

His career includes work at world-leading lithography company ASML and the international electronics R&D organisation IMEC.

‘We warmly welcome Steve Shu to the ANFF-NSW leadership team and look forward to his expert contributions to the ANFF-NSW mission to drive greater innovation and R&D in Australia via our world-class, open-access, nanofabrication facilities,’ said ANFF-NSW Technical Director and Facility Manager Matt Boreland in a statement.

The ANFF NSW node is a collaboration involving UNSW, the University of Sydney and the University of Technology Sydney, with facilities at UNSW Sydney and University of Sydney.
