The founder and Managing Director of ASX-listed cooling technology company PWR Holdings is making a phased return to work after taking medical leave in April due to treatment of an acute medical condition.
In a statement on Thursday, the company said Weel is continuing his recovery and will share executive responsibilities with Acting CEO Matthew Bryson. Bryson is also the company’s Chief Technical and Commercial Officer.
Weel is expected to move into the role of Non Executive Chairman, with the board’s support, following PWR’s October 17 AGM. Independent Chairman and Non-Executive Director Roland Dane will not seek re-election to the board.
“I extend my sincere thanks to Roland for his guidance, and commitment to PWR since joining the Board in 2017,” said Weel.
“On behalf of everyone at PWR, thank you Roland for supporting PWR’s growth and success and my transition to the Non-Executive Chairman role.”
Bryson will continue to be Acting CEO as the company searches for a permanent hire in that role, with the search considering internal as well as global candidates.
