Organics recycler Soilco has announced its acquisition of The Good Dirt Company, a regional organics processor based in Lethbridge, marking the company’s entry into the Victorian market.
Soilco said that Good Dirt has historically received and composted green waste and agricultural manures and distributed finished products to the region’s farming community.
An EPA-licensed composting facility and adjacent farming operations are being integrated into Solico’s broader business. The new owner added in a statement on Monday that it is “on track to upgrade and expand” the site, which is its seventh licensed Australian composting facility.
The value of the sale was not disclosed.
Soilco CEO Charlie Emery said, “The location ensures SOILCO continues to strengthen its access to high quality organic feedstocks that will meet the requirements of our customers and the soil improvement needs of our communities”.
The news follows its completed acquisition of Martins Fertilizers in Yass, NSW in May and Canberra’s Corkhill Bros in 2023.
Soilco is headquartered in Sydney and provides organics recycling services and manufactures a range of soil, compost and mulch products.
