ADN set to build organic infant formula plant

Australian Dairy Nutritionals Group (ASX: AHF) has given the go-ahead for a $6 million organic infant formula plant at the Camperdown dairy park in south-west Victoria.

The company made the move following the certification of its first dairy farm at Yaringa in the region as 100 per cent organic.

Its first-stage organic infant formula plant will include a drier, evaporator, nutritionals blending equipment and tinning line capable of producing up to 600,000 tins of formula a year.

The company’s strategy is to convert all six of its farms to organic, build a larger dryer and tinning line, and become the first fully integrated producer of 100 per cent Australian Organic Infant Forumula.

The larger drier and tinning line is not yet scheduled for construction, but is planned to produce 10 million tins of formula a year.

AHF, previously known as Australian Dairy Farms Group, expects all ts farms to be certified in 2021.

The company has secured two new trademarks for new brands – Pure Organic and Tummy Health.
