AML3D expands in Edinburgh Parks

Additive manufacturing technology company AML3D is rapidly expanding its Edinburgh Parks manufacturing facility north of Adelaide.

The company is installing five new automated robotic welders (pictured), bringing the total at the plant to seven.

The expansion of AML3D, which is commercialising a proprietary Wire Additive Manufacturing (WAM) technology, comes as the company is moving to manufacture ‘made to fit’ titanium body armour for Lightforce Australia.

AML3D provides contract manufacturing services and is the original equipment manufacturer of Arcemy metal 3D printers.

The company announced excellent first stage product testing progress which will now move to product development trials.

The company said in a statement: “These successful tests have significantly increased the materiality of the MOU to AML3D given both groups now have a clear path towards product development.”
