Applications are open for the Innovation Vouchers Program in Western Australia, which provides up to $20,000 in support to local startups and small to medium enterprises.
The program is designed to help recipients access services and skills to develop their “ideas or commercial activity in the state” and cover the following:
- research and development,
- product development,
- technology transfer/intellectual property, or
- commercialisation support.
Applicants must co-contribute at least 20 per cent of their voucher funding, said a statement from the WA government, “For example, a $25,000 package includes a $20,000 voucher and a $5,000 co-contribution from the recipient.”
The voucher program has run since 2011, and has assisted 178 recipients so far.
Applications for he current round are open until May 21.
