Applications open in Victoria for $1.5 million in EV charger grants

Manufacturing News

Applications are being welcomed for grants under the Victorian government’s EV Charging for Business Fleets program, which is making a total of $1.5 million in funding available to organisations wanting to invest in charging infrastructure.

According to a statement from the government, those investing in zero-emission vehicles “could save up to $500 per month per car in their fleet.”

There is no minimum or maximum funding value per project, according to project FAQs

The FAQs also state that applications would be considered favourably if “the co-contribution amount is 50% of the total project value or higher and the co-contribution consists of 80% or higher monetary contribution.”

The program originally launched in December last year, though eligibility requirements have since been updated.

Applications close Friday July 22 at 5 pm (AEST.) Successful applicants will be announced in October, and must start their projects that month.
