The Tasmanian government has opened applications for grants worth up to $20,000 – covering “a variety of productivity enhancing activities” – through its Advanced Manufacturing Productivity Grant program.
In a statement on Thursday, Tasmania’s premier and trade minister Jeremy Rockliff said up to $450,000 had been allocated to the program through the recently-released Advanced Manufacturing Action Plan.
“Manufacturing is Tasmania’s largest export industry and the sixth largest industry overall, making it a significant part of our economy and one we are right behind,” he said.
The productivity grants provide dollar-matched support worth between $1500 and $20,000 per grant to Tasmanian-based manufacturing businesses “with demonstrated turnover between $500,000 and $55 million” per annum.
Companies can apply more than once in a financial year for different projects, but with a total grant limit of $40,000. Grant guidelines and other information is available at this link.
The cut-off for applications is 2 pm on June 30, 2025, or when funds are fully allocated.
