Sanja Minervini of industrial fluid and gas control company Klinger Australia knows what it is like to fret over supply chain breakdowns that threaten the ability to supply customers with critical gaskets needed in the minerals industry.
When the company’s Perth factory and imported components are out of stock the company turns to its enterprise resource planning software to work out the best manufacturing site or import option to fill the customer need.
Sometimes the best way is supply by air, said Minervini.
“We have had choppers waiting at the airport waiting for the materials we need, that is how critical some of these components are to our customers.”
