Aurora Labs wins additive manufacturing contract with Chevron

Aurora Labs has signed Master Services Contract to provide 3D powder-printed parts to oil and gas giant Chevron.

The agreement has no fixed term, outlining the performance criteria and industry standards for Aurora’s printing of the 3D parts for Chevron Australia.

Aurora Labs CEO Rebekah Letheby says the contract is a win for local additive manufacturing (AM).

“There is an increasing trend of companies looking to adopt additive manufacturing for their operations to improve their operational efficiency and supply chain resilience,” Letheby says.

“This contract award aligns with our strategy to offer AM solutions to local companies in the energy, defence, and mineral processing industries.

“Our ability to vertically integrate to design, build and qualify our printers to meet his growing demand bodes well for our future growth aspirations.”

The agreement with Chevron Australia follows a three-year agreement signed with Alcoa in February, an MoU with Aramco, and a qualification print campaign with Woodside Energy.
