Austin Engineering’s North American expansion pays off in FY25 results

Mining equipment company Austin Engineering has seen a 22.2 per cent increase in revenue to $376.7 million for the last financial year, with North American earnings up 54 per cent to $146.8 million.

The ASX-listed company saw rises in EBITDA for the year to $55.8 million (up 29.6 per cent) and net profit after tax to $40.4 million (up 70 per cent.) 

Sy Van Dyk, CEO and Managing Director, said there was a lift in revenue across all four business units.

“Our North American operational expansion has been particularly successful, delivering a 54 [per cent] increase in revenue to $146.8 million, while our Asia Pacific (APAC) division achieved improved margins from 11 [per cent] to 19 [per cent], demonstrating the effectiveness of our operational strategy,” he said.

“We've made significant progress in transforming Austin into an integrated, globally functioning firm, embedding our strategic pillars of Customer Focus, Manufacturing Leadership and Product Leadership. The successful transition of our tray manufacturing operations from Australia to Indonesia, which is now fully operational, has been an example of our commitment to operational efficiency and strategic positioning.”

Earnings guidance for FY26 revenue is $390 million – $410 million (compared to $376.7 million for FY25)  and underlying EBIT of $40 million – $46 million (versus $45.9 million for FY25.)
