Australian Manufacturing Forum passes 6,000 members

@AuManufacturing’s social media discussion and networking group, the Australian Manufacturing Forum on Linkedin, has passed an important membership milestone.

The Forum, Australia’s largest social media group of Australian manufacturers, passed 6,018 members this morning.

The Forum has grown steadily since its founding in 2013, and with the launch of @AuManufacturing news plus Twitter and Facebook presence on the internet, has cemented its place as the heart of Australia’s manufacturing communities.

Membership applications took a step up earlier this year when we crowd sourced our new deal plan for manufacturing.

Recent new members run the gamut of local manufacturing and include Rob Kusters, aerospace manager at Marand Precision Engineering, Andrew Hodder, VP of operations at Pfizer, Marcin Kuriczek, plant manager at Fenner Dunlop and Al Jawhari, CEO at Lightforce Group.

The public sector is also well represented including Paul Cooper, chairman of the Advanced Manufacturing Growth Centre, Professor Prasad Yarlagadda of Queensland University of Technology and Michael Cullen, regional general manager Western Sydney at TAFE.

And most recently the Forum has been attracting members from the recruiting sector who, among the discussions, are posting the latest job opportunities.

For those interested in networking with their manufacturing peers in an environment without promotion and self-promotion, the AMF is the place to be.
