B&R Enclosures expands in China.

Australia’s leading manufacturer of enclosures and cabinets, B&R Enclosures, has opened its latest production facility in Suzhou, China taking its manufacturing footprint globally to more than 40,000 square metres.

The plant, which offers mechanical and electrical design, engineering, manufacturing, project and supply chain management services, has been designed to apply industry 4.0 technologies.

Mr Marko Dimitrijevic, general manager B&R China said: “All manufacturing equipment and facility installations are managed via B&R’s self-developed factory automation “SmartBox” system which monitors equipment utilisation, controls LED lights, air-conditioning and compressed air systems.

“(This maximises)…equipment utilisation and minimises energy consumption.”

In the new factory all work instructions, order processing, and quality reports are managed via IPads, which the company sees as a step towards paperless factory.

B&R strives to be a desired employer in the competitive China market, and the new facility is equipped with a central air-purifying system, and recreational facility.

B&R, a family-owned business, manufactures in Brisbane, Adelaide, Sydney, Suzhou, Kuala Lumpur and Dammam in Saudi Arabia.
