State government-backed venture fund Breakthrough Victoria has announced Rod Bristow (pictured) as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing inaugural CEO Grant Dooley.
In a statement on Monday, BV said Bristow came with over 30 years’ experience in the “stockbroking, asset management, wealth management, agribusiness and not-for-profit sectors”, and was most recently CEO of Sydney and Singapore-based venture capital firm Investible.
Bristow said. “My focus will be building on the strong foundations the team and the Board at Breakthrough Victoria have laid and, on behalf of all Victorians, contributing to its ongoing growth and success.”
According to BV, it has 33 companies in its portfolio, representing over $300 million of direct investment.
Dooley announced his resignation in August last year after three years in the role. COO Lauren Morrey has been acting CEO.
