@AuManufacturing’s Celebrating Australian Made editorial series concludes today with something Australian Made by @AuManufacturing – the first in our How It’s Made – Australia video series. Here we look behind the manufacturing scenes at how an A.H. Beard mattress is manufactured.
@AuManufacturing news today launches the first video, presented in association with producers Cahoots and business news network AusBiz, destined for our How it’s Made – Australia video series.
How it’s Made – Australia was launched and faced headwinds during the Covid-19 pandemic, but now debuts with a video profile of A.H. Beard, the family-owned Australian company, with a proud 120-year history of producing mattresses and in the company’s words ‘helping people get a better night’s sleep’.
Five generations of the A.H. Beard family have been committed to continuous innovation to leadership in the field, and the company famously sells its Australian made mattresses, in its own shops in China for upwards of $70,000.
Today, A.H. Beard employs 400 highly skilled people to produce up to 10,000 A.H. Beard, King Koil and Domino mattress each week, which are sold at every price point in Australia, New Zealand and around the world.
How It’s Made – Australia is a new multi-media video series showcasing the very best Australian manufacturing has to offer, and follows the success of programmes such as the Discovery Channel’s 32 season How It’s Made television series.
The Australian Manufacturing Forum, @AuManufacturing and our partners are offering manufacturers the chance to work with us on video presentations of their manufacturing operations that will reach a qualified online audience of tens of thousands.
Videos will be published on @AuManufacturing news website, newsletter and social networks, David Koch’s AusBiz network and on @AuManufacturing’s dedicated video page.
Produced by our partner Cahoots, each five minute video segment will include location footage, graphics, scripted narration, and interviews if required.
How it’s Made – Australia segments will be further developed into a regular series aimed at Australian and, we hope, ultimately international television audiences.
