Civmec announces $100 million in contracts






Perth heavy engineering firm Civmec has been awarded $100 million in new contracts including major manufacturing works for two Pilbara resources project.

The maintenance, construction and engineering firm will supply, manufacture and deliver four main train load out bin modules for the Jimblebar project.

And it will supply, fabricate and modularise shuttle trusses, conveyor trusses, plate work and stick steel for the Gudai-Darri project, also known as the Koodaideri project.

The company, which is also constructing 10 offshore patrol vessels for at its Henderson, Perth marine assembly hall, did not detail the value of the two projects

CEO Patrick Tallon said: “While it is very satisfying to continue to secure projects for the manufacturing and construction discipliners within the business, a standout award for the company in this recent period is the award of the prestigious Kids’ Bridge (pictured) connecting the Queen Elizabeth 2 Medical Campus to Kings Park by Main Roads.”

The Perth bridge project follows the successful delivery of the Matagarup Bridge connecting East Perth to the Optus Stadium
