Clearvue Technologies founder steps down as Chair

Manufacturing News

Victor Rosenberg, the founder of building-integrated photovoltaics company ClearVue Technologies, has stepped down as Non-Executive Chairman and transitioned into the role of Non-Executive Director, effective immediately.

In an ASX announcement on Tuesday, ClearVue said the news follows last week’s announcement that Rosenberg intends to retire from the company in November.

Theresa Smits has become Interim Non-Executive Chair of the board, and CEO Douglas Hunt joins the board as Managing Director.

“As I make my retirement plans, the timing is right to pass the responsibilities of the Board Chairman position to someone who can give the role their full attention,” said Rosenberg (pictured) in a statement.

“The effective and efficient near-term progress that has been made in such a short period of time has given me confidence that I am leaving ClearVue’s objective to dramatically enhance building sustainability in good hands… It has been a privilege to serve in the Non-Executive Chairperson role, and I look forward to watching as our new board takes the company toward a fruitful global commercialization path.”

According to its website, ClearVue was founded by serial entrepreneur Rosenberg as Tropiglas Technologies in 1995, with an initial focus on developing the world’s most efficient low-e glass coating for saving energy in buildings.
