Architectural and industrial supplier Dulux Powder Coatings has joined the The Australian Micro Recyclers Association (AMRA), a group dedicated to growing decentralised recycling and manufacturing around Australia.
In a statement on Wednesday, Dulux said that membership would assist it in meeting sustainability goals “by reducing carbon emissions and waste to landfill, with a priority on generating a circular economy wherever we can.”
AMRA represents and assists micro-recyclers, processors, manufacturers, retailers, and mould and tool makers around Australia. The group’s Chair, Bradley Scott, is also Owner and Director of Transmutation, which is making PostPrime Plastic out of waste powder coating from Dulux.
The first product based on PostPrime is a bar chair for concrete pouring (pictured), which have achieved GECA (Good Environmental Choice Australia) certification.
Transmutation’s PostPrime project with Dulux earned it a part on @AuManufacturing’s Australia 50 Most Innovative Manufacturers list for 2024.
