DXN sells modular data centre to Newcrest

Modular data centre manufacturer DXN has signed a $1.5 million contract to supply a factory-built data centre to gold miner, Newcrest Mining.

DXN will build, ship and install the prefabricated data centre for its Cadia mine in central west New South Wales.

The Perth company’s CEO, Matthew Madden said the centre would incorporate critical infrastructure for Newcrest’s mining operations.

“DXN…fabricates the entire modular data centre in Australia.

“With travel restrictions a reality we will live with for some time, this is the way of the future with data centre builds – engineered to be modular, prefabricated and shipped all around the world.”

Madden said that with DXN’s entire supply chain within Australia and within ‘our control’, it was able to match customer timeframe expectations.
