Fleet Spaces secures its IIoT systems

IOT satellite communications manufacturer Fleet Space Technologies has secured two key Information Security and Quality Management System Certifications which help to improve the security of the data it handles.

The company secured the ISO/IEC 27001:2013 standard for its Information Security Management System (ISMS) which helps improve cyber security posture as well as the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standardy.

According to the company: “Both certifications are globally recognised standards for business process management and are testament to our commitment to ensuring ours and your organisation’s assets are safe as well as customer needs are delivered in an efficient manner.

“The certifications followed an exhaustive audit of our processes and practices. These vital exercises are in line with our long-term commitment to improving business processes and performance.”

Fleet Space has had six satellites launched since its first in 2018, and offers manufacturers low-cost satellite based systems for Industrial Internet of Things applications.

The certifications were achieved with the support of the Department of Industry, Science and Resources and the Australian Space Agency’s Moon to Mars Supply Chain Capability Improvements program.
