Forbidden Foods hits a high note with record sales

Forbidden Foods has turned the tables in the fast-moving consumer goods sector, announcing a thrilling upswing in its financial fortunes.

For the quarter ending December 2024, the company not only doubled its group revenues but also saw a significant leap in net sales, with figures soaring to $1.17 million—a robust 104 per cent increase from the previous quarter.

Alex Aleksic, CEO of Forbidden Foods, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “The December quarter was an exciting period for the business, marking our first full operating quarter as a multi-brand platform following the strategic acquisition of OMG. It was pleasing to see our combined footprint immediately translate into a material improvement in group sales and cash receipts.”

This financial feast is served hot on the heels of Forbidden Foods’ strategic acquisition of Oat Milk Goodness (OMG), a move that expanded their market footprint and enhanced their brand portfolio.

The integration of OMG has allowed Forbidden Foods to navigate the competitive Australian market with greater agility, tapping into burgeoning consumer demand for health-oriented products.

A big part of this quarter’s success story is the ecommerce triumph with Blue Dinosaur products, which skyrocketed to $383,000 in sales, marking a 94 per cent increase. This was complemented by savvy product stocking arrangements with heavyweight retailers like Woolworths, ensuring that OMG’s trendy offerings like Coffee PrOATein are just an aisle away for health-conscious Aussies.

Adding a dash of celebrity to their recipe for success, Forbidden Foods has partnered with sports stars like netball’s Eleanor Cardwell and cricketer Alex Carey.

Aleksic says this is part of their strategic direction, “This focus on expanded distribution will be complemented by strategic marketing campaigns with high-profile partners in the sports & fitness sector to align with our healthy product mix.”
