Gekko sells first on stream real time gold analyser

Mining equipment manufacturer Gekko Systems has successfully trialed and sold the world’s first on stream real-time gold analyser or ‘OLGA’ unit.

The OnLine Gold Analyse has been trialed in a number of slurry streams at the Mt Carlton operation by Evolution Mining since November, 2018, and has now been procured.

Developed in association with CSIRO, OLGA direct measures gold in tailings, feed and concentrate slurry streams down to sub-ppm levels.

This is unlike conventional x-ray fluorescence (XRF) systems that have detection limits in the tens to hundreds of ppm range.

Gekko is based in Avoca in regional Viitoria, with its first products of InLine Pressure Jigs for continuous gravity separation.

Today it is a leader in gold processing and low energy mining solutions.

OLGA delivers analysis of gold content every 10 minutes providing real time monitoring and adjustment of process systems.
