The Western Australian government is inviting grant applications from SMEs and business associations for grants worth $25,000 to assist them in accessing Asian markets.
Twenty companies in the state will receive support under the round of the Access Asia Business Grants program, with applications opening on Thursday, closing on March 4, and the winners to be announced in May.
To be eligible, applicants must fall under one of the priority sectors in the WA government’s Diversify WA plan, which includes defence industries, mining and mining equipment, space industries, and health and medical life sciences.
“We want to see more local businesses export internationally and the Access Asia grants aim to support SMEs to build opportunities in rapidly growing Asian markets,” said WA trade minister Roger Cook.
