Grants up to $50,000 available to help commercialise recycled products

Grants of between $15,000 and $50,000 are available through Sustainability Victoria’s Market Accelerator program, which aims to assist businesses, social enterprises and others in commercialising recycled material-based innovations.

According to a statement from the Victorian government agency on Monday, the program is designed to help validate and commercialise products and processes using priority recycled  materials, such as organics, plastics and paper, while building markets for recycled materials. 

Sustainability Victoria’s CEO Matt Genever said “Creating more efficient products with less waste and lower energy consumption will not only  contribute to reducing Victoria’s carbon emissions but will be a catalyst for the state’s future  economic growth.”

The accelerator is budgeted at $750,000 and funded through the state’s Recycling Victoria: a new economy policy.

Applications close on November 5.
