Manufacturing News

Coles has opened round 11 of its Nurture Fund, which has been running since 2015 and offers grants of up to $500,000 for manufacturers and primary producers to assist development of “new market-leading products and sustainable processes and technologies.”

According to a statement from the company on Monday, companies must have fewer than 50 full-time employees and revenues of under $25 million annually to be eligible.

Sally Fielke, the General Manager of Corporate and Indigenous Affairs at Coles Group, said the fund had provided over 90 producers with over $30 million in support, supporting improved infrastructure, waste reduction, and energy efficiency projects.

“This year, we want to enable more businesses to invest in projects that drive innovation and improve sustainable practices in their farms and facilities,” added Fielke.

According to the current guidelines, Coles “will not be seeking equity in any entity” awarded funding, though “prior to receiving funding from the CNF, Applicants must first enter into a CNF Agreement with Coles.”

Guidelines and other information can be found at this link. Applications close 5 pm AEST on February 24.
