Holden Group A vehicle tipped to break auction record

Lloyds expects a record price to be set when one of 302 Australian-made Holden HSV VN SS Group A vehicles goes under the hammer at its Classic Car Auction on Saturday.

The series was the very last of Holden’s Group A vehicles. According to Lloyds, the price of these has “skyrocketed” following the end of Holden’s Australian car assembly operations in 2017.

“We auctioned the same model back in April, which broke an Australian World Record price, and we believe this one being build #002 might just break it again based on the amount of enquiry we have had already,” said Lloyds Auctions COO Lee Hames in a statement.

The record figure was not given.

The current owner has had the car since 1994, with one other owner, and a total of 36,000 kilometres travelled.
