Hosico Engineering awarded $150,000 defence grant






Hosico Engineering has been awarded $150,000 under the Defence Global Competitiveness Grants program, which will assist it in serving the global defence aerospace market.

Hosico is based in Braeside, Victoria and supplies light metal and injection moulded components, toolmaking, design, project management and other services to industries including medical, gaming and defence.
The grant would assist investment in a new “finishing centre, improving their capacity to supply thermoplastic and finished components” according to a statement from Victorian senator David Van, helping it increase sales to global aerospace firms.
“Companies that export are not only growing our sovereign capability, but we know they also expand and can then employ more people than businesses who don’t look beyond their own backyard.”
Hosico was established in 1977. Its recent work includes as part of the Grey Innovation-led consortium, supplying 2,000 invasive ventilators the the federal government.
