iMOVE CRC stumps up two $500,000 prizes for transport innovators

Manufacturing News

The iMOVE Cooperative Research Centre has announced $1 million in funding to support development of new technology, products and services in the transport sector.

According to a statement from iMOVE on Thursday, its Impact Extension Program (IEP) is open to any company with an ABN, with no requirement to partner with an academic institution.

Companies can pitch their ideas and make multiple applications. The two best innovations get $500,000 each, and all IP developed is retained by the successful applicants.

iMOVE CRC managing director Ian Christensen said: “Many ground-breaking ideas and research inside Australian companies are not fully realised due to lack of resources for development and implementation.

“The iMOVE Impact Extension Program aims to overcome these hurdles, turning ambitious ideas into reality and benefiting society through advancements in transport and mobility.”

Eligibility is based on factors including alignment with iMOVE’s research areas and a credible pathway to implementation. Applications close June 30 at 5 pm.
