Inovor Technologies to supply Defence satellite bus

South Australia’s Inovor technologies will supply the defence department with a satellite bus that will be used to house equipment in space for the Buccaneer Main Mission.

Inovor, which provides turnkey nanosatellite solutions for clients using its Apogee nanosatellite bus (pictured), will supply the equipment under a $2.5 million contract.

The company beat out international competition to win the contract.

The Buccaneer program is aimed at improving our understanding of the outer atmosphere, in particular the ionosphere.

Ionospheric conditions play a key role in Australia’s world-leading Over-the-Horizon radar capability.

Inovor is an Australian company offering specialist development services and satellite mission solutions.

As well as supplying buses, Inovor is developing a nanosatellite-based space situational awareness mission to support the global space network.
