JAT presses ahead with Shanghai retail store

Dairy manufacturer and specialist China exporter JAT is pressing ahead with the fit-out of its first Chinese retail store in Shanghai.

The store, to be branded JAT Maternity & Infant Boutique, was to have opened in March but was delayed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

The company said the store fit-out was now underway with opening likely in February or early March.

The 50 square metre store will sell the full range of JAT in-house brands including Neurio, Moroka, Ione Milk, Abbeyard and Hopefern, as well as other baby products sourced from Australia and elsewhere.

The company expects turnover in the first year of more than $500,000.

JAT has launched into retail to establish its image and drive customers to its online sales channels in China.

The company is doubling the size of its Australian Natural Milk Association factory in Victoria (pictured) with work now expected to be completed in February.
