Job opportunity: machine operator in Western Sydney

Job Description

• Maintain setup and operate the roll formers, curvers, cranking machines, electric seamers and hand tools on-site with a focus on continuous improvement.

• Work closely with AU Plant Engineering Manager for maintenance requirements on machines.

• Develop, monitor and maintain quality standards, of the product system

• Implement suitable setup and maintenance procedures; Develop and implement standard maintenance/cleaning/setup procedures to minimize breakdowns, wastage/recoveries and complaints

• Implement and maintain stock control and production reporting processes. Daily roll forming report to be populated to Production manager.

• Assist in developing and maintaining a high level of installation expertise, quality and practices amongst the Team Installers

• Seek solutions to quality issues/complaints pertaining to production

• Maximise efficiencies and minimise manufacturing lead times

• Ensure any communication between company and the contractors on site is handled professionally

• Maintain  health and safety requirements and practices on site

• Individual is expected to travel regularly for projects in Australia & New Zealand as required

Type of experience required:-

Desirable:

• Experience with modern manufacturing equipment, Roll forming mill beneficial

• Sheet metal. Steel and Aluminium

• Construction site knowledge

• Ability to understand Shop drawings
