Land Forces 2022 – EOS weapons system goes through its paces – video






Today @AuManufacturing’s special editorial series Land Forces 2022 celebrates one of Australian defence industry’s most recent successes – the R400 remote weapon station (RWS) from Electro Optic Systems.

Today is Day one of Land Forces 2022, and we can’t think of a better way to whet your appetite for the systems on display than a standout recent Australian export success from Canberra’s Electro Optic Systems.

This video (below), released in the lead up to the event, shows the R400 fully stabilised remote weapon station – engineered and built in Australia and widely exported – being put through its paces, integrated with various vehicle platforms and weapons systems.

Its’ range of laser rangefinders and day and thermal cameras, fire control system, optional machine guns, grenade launcher and 30mm cannon and Javelin missile capabilities offer accuracy with less than 1m variance from the aim point at 2000m.

According to the company: ” EOS’ integration capabilities and versatility across effectors and platforms enables customers to address any threat on the modern battlefield with applications including C-UAS, unmanned ground vehicles, anti-tank guided missiles and surface to air missiles.”
