M8 Sustainable raises $19.5 million

Western Australian waste management business M8 Sustainable (ASX: M8S) raised $19.5 million and listed on the stock market. The company operates a waste recycling facility and a waste to compost and energy plant.

Prescient makes progress in ovarian cancer trial

Prescient Therapuetics has annnounced positive results from a stage 1b clinical trial in women with platinum resistant ovarian cancer. Eighty per cent of women in the safety trial exhibited control of their disease state.

1414 Degrees completes solar project buy

1414 Degrees (ASX:14D) has completed the purchase of SolarReserve Australia II Pty Ltd which owns the giant Aurora solar concentrtor energy project at Port Augusta in South Australia. The project will be renamed SiliconAurora Pty Ltd and has a new board.

sonnen batteries wins R&D award

Adelaide lithium-ion battery manufacturer sonnen Australia has won a major award for turning part of the former Holden assembly plant in Adelaide into a battery manufacturing hub for the region. The company, based in Germany and now owned by Shell, won the R&D Investment Award at the Australian Export Awards.
