SciDev’s new US order

Wastewater chemical company SciDev has received a $2.08 million order for its solids-liquid separation chemistry for use in the minerals, oil and gas sectors. The order from Phoenix Process Equipment Company is three-month supply of the chemistry, which will be manufactured by Nuoer Group.

Reece antibiotic aids kidney infections

Infections of the urinary and kidneys could benefit from a new class of antibiotics being developed by Reece Pharmaceuticals. In pre-clinical trials its REECE 327 antibiotic was effective against one of the primary causes E. coli bacteria. The antibiotic was trialled in rat models afflicted with E. coli caused UTIs and kidney infections.

WA manufacturer awarded regional development grant

Eight Wheatbelt region companies shared in $690,000 worth of grants under the round two of the West Australian government’s Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program. Recipients included Bruce Rock Engineering, which received “$150,000 towards the construction of a new workshop to streamline manufacturing and increase production capacity.”
