Orora wins approval for fibre packaging sale

Packaging group Orora has won Foreign Investment Review Board approval for the proposed sale of its Australasian fibre business to Nippon Packaging. The approval clears the way for the packaging giant to move to completion of the sale.

LBT Innovations extends analysis reach

Medical device manufacturer LBT Innovations has begun a clinical study to validate additional tests which can be performed by its APAS instrument (pictured) which utilises AI to analyse clinical samples. The study will form the basis for marketing its new VRE analysis module focused on antibiotic resistant bacteria in the EU and Australia.

SEA Electric awarded EV patent

Truck and van electric vehicle drive system manufacturer SEA Electric has been granted an Australian patent for its SEA-Drive technology. The company’s patent covers the ‘management system for commercial electric vehicles’, compromising a controller area network and a vehicle controller. These manage motors, batteries and a telematics system.

Wellness and Beauty enters anti-bacteria market

Wellness and Beauty Solutions has received its first order from Chemist Warehouse for its anti-bacterial product range MICRO19. Developed as a response to COVID-19, the company manufactures a range of sanitising products locally, with the latest deal worth $400,000.
