Manufacturing skills Australia to support innovation skills development

Industry skills council Manufacturing Skills Australia has announced its Industry Development Fund is seeking applications from around Australia for grants to improve innovation skills in the sector.

MSA, which develops courses for students in the manufacturing sector, is offering individuals between $1,000 and $10,000 to develop their skills and knowledge through research, education and/or training with a theme of Innovation in manufacturing.

MSA said: “If you are working at any level in manufacturing and you are passionate about innovation, we want to help you achieve your goals.”

Applications will be accepted between 1 July 2021 and 31 August 2021.

Applicants are asked to send a short (60 second) video and a few paragraphs explaining what this opportunity for a support payment would mean for their careers and their industries.

“Share your vision and enthusiasm in a few short paragraphs (give us some background) about what you want to do and why.

“Short, sweet and simple – this is your Proposal.

“The most inspiring proposals get invited to submit a full application with supporting documents to go into the second and final round.”
