Melbourne-based engineering company MEMKO has expanded into Singapore, launching its second international subsidiary.
The company said the Singaporean presence will “broaden its market reach… in the region for its portfolio of products and services” and follows it establishing a presence in Bangalore, India.
MEMKO said in a statement on Tuesday that its “collective businesses in three geo-locations will also allow for strengthening the growth corridor between Australia and high-growth Asian markets”.
It added that it will be hiring employees with a background in aviation, aerospace and defence to support the move into Singapore.
MEMKO was established in 2006 and has historically focussed on consulting as well as reselling and integrating software from France’s Dassault Systèmes.
The company’s first product, NIFTI (a Non-Intrusive Flight Test Instrumentation system was launched this year. It saw MEMKO selected by judges in April as one of Australia’s 50 Most Innovative Manufacturers.
