Minns Government approves $139 million warehousing estate for Western Sydney Aerotropolis

The NSW Government has approved a $139 million warehousing estate in the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, set to create more than 600 jobs in the region.

The Barings Luddenham Industrial Park will be built on a 19.4-hectare site and will feature seven buildings with over 63,500 square metres of floor space. The development will provide warehousing options ranging from 1,000 to 30,000 square metres, along with an onsite café, office spaces, landscaped areas and infrastructure.

According to an announcement on Monday, the State Significant Development will generate 250 ongoing roles and 390 construction jobs near the Western Sydney International Airport, which is scheduled to open in 2026.

Deputy Premier and Minister for Western Sydney Prue Car said the development is part of a broader strategy for the region.

“This investment is not just about warehouses, it’s about jobs, opportunity, and building a thriving future right here in the Aerotropolis,” Car said.

The approval follows other recent developments in the area, including Bradfield City’s Central Park and First Building.

Minister for Planning and Public Spaces Paul Scully noted that approximately $14 billion worth of private development applications are currently in the pipeline for the aerotropolis, with potential to create 120,000 jobs.

Construction of the industrial estate will begin mid-2025, with the first warehouse expected to be operational by December 2026.
