New Australian SME partnership to make small arms

Adelaide business Lightforce has linked with companies across the world to form vertically-integrated small arms firm Force Ordnance in Australia.
The advanced manufacturing joint venture’s partners include US-based military weapons manufacturer Lewis Machine & Tool, SilencerCo., Cadex Defence and Titomic.
Titomic is a Melbourne SME that has produced the world’s largest 3D printer, and developed a technique to produce hardened parts coated with titanium.
Lightforce already has two manufacturing facilities making rifle optics in the US and driving lights and sporting lights in Adelaide. Force Ordnance CEO Monika Leniger-Sherratt said the time was right for a local small arms company to set up in Australia to meet local military and law enforcement requirements.
Lightforce’s divisions include Lightforce Australia, Nightforce Optics, EuroOptic Australia and Horus Vision Reticle Systems.
