Battery chemical recycler and manufacturer Livium has commenced a deal to provide services to metal recycling business Sell & Parker, anticipated to generate revenues of $3 million in the next 12 months and offering potential “to be Livium’s largest ever recycling contract”.
According to a statement from Livium on Thursday, the three-year subcontractor deal with Sell & Parker has been executed and first volumes are expected in May. It covers Livium providing “recycling services for project related materials” and safe disposal of “materials containing embedded batteries through its facilities in Victoria.”
Livium CEO and Managing Director, Simon Linge said the agreement has “the potential to be Envirostream’s largest ever recycling contract on a revenue basis.” The total value was given as “in excess of” $5 million.
(Envirostream is Livium’s wholly-owned recycling division.)
“Project agreements, such as this one, are important to deliver volumes whilst e-mobility and energy storage volumes grow year on year,” added Linge.
“Securing this [contract] demonstrates Sell & Parker’s confidence in our governance and safety standards.”
Sell & Parker runs eight facilities across Australia and is a long-time customer of Livium’s. It buys and trades ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
Its Director, Morgan Parker, said, “Over the past few years, Envirostream [has] proven [its] capability as a high-quality recycling business, and we are pleased to extend our relationship through this subcontract arrangement.”
