Aluminium 4WD tray and canopy manufacturer Norweld has unveiled a new generation tray design (pictured) – the result of a 2.5 year investment in research and development worth $750,000.

The Elite tray launch comes after Norweld’s most successful year to date, the company in 2023 opening two new purpose-built facilities in Brisbane’s north and Perth, hiring more than 35 staff and experiencing 20 per cent year-on-year growth.

Norweld Australia’s Director Jaime McIntosh said: “Our new Elite tray is the result of many years of hard work, investment in innovative equipment and manufacturing techniques, and feedback gathered from thousands of Norweld customers.

“The Elite tray has been designed to take that experience to the next level, offering a sleek, modern
design that’s made to thrive in any environment and offer practical functionality that ute owners
need.”

Developed by Norweld’sin-house team of design and engineering experts, the tray incorporates a lower profile, ‘bolt on’ side profile design, colour-coded to match each vehicle, and adjusted headboard height to provide clearance for popular roof racks.

McIntosh said: “The top three best selling cars in Australia for 2023 were dual cab utility vehicles, so we strongly believe that demand for trays and canopies will continue.

“Our focus is to continue developing new and improved solutions for our customers, grow our
network of local branches and invest in growing fleet markets to continue pushing the boundaries
of what’s possible for Norweld and the 4WD industry.”
