NRW expands and buys BCG Contracting

Two major engineering contracting, manufacturing and maintenance groups have joined forces with the purchase of BCG Contracting by NRW Holdings (ASX: NWH).

BCG will be renamed NRW with the combined group employing 8,300 in numerous facilities and factories in every mainland state.

More than 13,500 casual staff are also employed.

NRW is a diversified provider of contract services, fabrication, maintenance and remanufacturing services to resources and infrastructure projects.

BCG’s Diab Engineering arm provides industrial maintenance and fabrication services.

The combined group has operations in manufacturing, fabricating and constructing major minesite installations and processing plants, OEM maintenance, industrial engineering capabilities and rebuilds and refurbishes machinery and earthmoving equipment.

NRW managing director Jules Pemberton said: “We look forward to leveraging our many years of combined experience to position NRW as a provider of choice across the sectors in which we operate.

“With the broader capabilities acquired through BCG Contracting, NRW has built a stronger platform that differentiates us from our competitors and allows us to meet the evolving needs of clients.”

NRW will raise $10 million in a share purchase plan from existing shareholders.
