Lighting manufacturer Pierlite has acquired the SenseAgent smart building technology portfolio from Brisbane industrial IoT developer Levaux for an undisclosed sum.
Pierlite made the purchase together with parent company Signify to bolster the group’s Interact smart IoT ecosystem offering.
SenseAgent is a smart building platform that promises to give owners and occupiers of buildings fine-grained insights and more control over their environment, while also lowering costs.
SenseAgent sensors use machine learning to automatically control the building to optimise operational savings and create intelligent environments.
Pierlite’s future markets general manager Lydell Stokes said SenseAgent offered Pierlite the opportunity to radically improve how it addresses building performance and lifecycle management.
Stokes said: “SenseAgent’s technology platform offers unmatched indoor monitoring and tracking capabilities.
“It will enable us to integrate best-in-class IoT technology into more of our products and offer new solutions, for the benefit of our customers.”
Levaux provides software and intelligent IoT sensors which track metrics such as air quality (TVOC/Co2), air flow, energy consumption, temperature, humidity, building occupancy, and people track and trace to name a few.
These sensor products installed in offices, hospitals and industrial facilities feed real-time data into a cloud dashboard.
Signify’s Pacific market CEO David Gardner said: “The acquisition aligns strongly with Signify’s commitment to product innovation in the region and ambition to expand its portfolio to meet the changing needs of Australian and New Zealand customers.”
