Plungie continues expansion with Metricon partnership

Brisbane-based precast pool company Plungie has announced a partnership to supply builder Metricon for new homes.

Plungie was established in 2018 and makes four different designs of plunge pool. Metricon will offer these as an option as part of new home packages.

“In two years, we’ve successfully disrupted and challenged a global industry that had remained largely unchanged for more than a century,” said Plungie Managing Director Ty Hermans (pictured), who added that the company’s mission was to be the world’s largest manufacturer of concrete swimming pools.

“We’re well on our way, having recently launched in the US with plans to launch in Canada and Europe this year.”

Plungie’s Dallas, Texas factory begins production this month.

The company earned a Best in Class award at the 2019 Australian Good Design Awards.
